John and Rory putting in some gun work tonight. Some good tunes being spun on the electronic caller and big males couldn’t help themselves. Should have had one on the first stand but our number one priority is safety and this dog was in some thick stuff and winded us before we could plant him. We will be back with a different game plan. Good shooting from Bug Boys and Savage Mountain Firearms.
Sambo back on the boards!
Visiting our Garrett County family and we get two coyotes to run in. Sam plants one and the other manages to get away. Glad to see Sam on some dogs again. We missed ya. No videos were taken unfortunately but this makes 11 for September.
Road Trip and coyotes everywhere.
Saw a coyote walking in and played it safe. Tried to call him in closer and running deer spooked it. Picked up and headed to a different location on the property and had three sneak in. Trying to get on the 3 another streaked across the field in the distance not slowing for anything. Finally got the three out of the low spot and took our shot. One was shot but finally recovered. After watching video we recovered the coyote two days later. One down, missed one. We moved back to the first place and set up differently. After 10 minutes of pretty aggressive calling one comes across the field and down he goes. A few minutes later number two for this stand enters the field and he joins the first male. 3 down! Three for the first property of the night. Heading home we hit another new place and 10 minutes later we have 4 and 5 down. 5 for the night and happy farmers as always.
Just a couple days later!
We return to a property that landed us two coyotes just 2 days ago and she’s still supplying coyotes on a platter. 2 more down and 5 for September.
Double Dog Dare Ya!
Grateful for trusting owners. This prooerty needed love something fierce. We had a triple on the line and only brought home two. Can’t win them all but we did win the trust of some nice folks.
Quick update!
We’ve been doing lots of coyote slaying and have pics and videos coming soon. Stay tuned!
One and done with Shawn
Had time to get out and hit one property and boy were they talkative. Coyotes howling everywhere. So we started talking back and this big male came rolling in 50 yards out. Shawn had a line on him and of course I forgot to hit record. Smh. Regardless that makes 30 since July 1st. Hell yeah! Congratulations Shawn on this nice male.
September and on the boards! 2 down!
Hitting a new property that was in need of some love. It didn’t let us down. Two dogs down and lots of work to be done here with coyotes. We will be back soon! Many thanks for the landowner trusting us with a beautiful piece of property. Number 28 and 29 since July. Need to go back and try to figure out how many since January 1, 2021.
Well some nights just don’t pan out the way we want. But we managed number 8 for August. We need two more to stay on track for the month. Good thing is we called two back in after stirring up a field like nobody’s business. Rory making a clutch shot on a 33lb male kept us from being skunked. I shoulder the pain of two missed coyotes on one stand. 🤦♂️ Congratulations Rory for another one in the books for you.
Here comes the rain!
40 minutes into our set up we decided to start backing out. Rory is heading to the caller and John picks up a dog. Likely something we been watching the entire stand but she wouldn’t commit. Of course she waits for us to be packing up. Spooked she started heading out. A little howl and she stopped to look. John, Shawn and I sent one and she didn’t take another step. Suppressed hunting is amazing. Number 7 for August. Hoping we can keep this pace until the end of the year.
